If perchance I have offended: Blythe

I could feel the baby - a few little magic tricks I can still do. So I called up old Power Tool and told them I needed some maternity leave. Apparently, that's it - I'm out, job over. I never even got to go to space! They will pay, for sure.

When last we left, I'd just gotten Blythe pregnant. The rest of the evening was spent by her working out to Kids music, while Hassan played guitar accompaniment.

You can hardly tell I'm even preggers.

Tell you what though - this not being able to magically suppress the pain really sucks.

It turns out that Hassan is actually a Music Talent Scout - a full promotion further along. He must have gotten that really quickly after I checked. All good news, of course - especially when I noticed his LTW was to hit level 10 in Symphonic. Have I said before this is a really lucky run?

Baby Mark. Has a bit of the Unseelie about him I reckon, but that's all fine with me. Someone needs to pull the dangerous pranks, and I reckon he's got the gift.

Mark is Easily Impressed and Evil, which is tolerable (though obviously not ideal). Didn't get twins, which is more unfortunate.

Got Bythe pregnant again when Mark returned from work (after transitioning to Adult).

Nyarlothep is such a sore loser. We're making progress, so he chucks a giant meteor at us. Not really sporting - or funny, which is worse.

A meteor! Man - honestly, if this gets any luckier I'll be accused of cheating for sure.

I finally managed to get all the fires out. A massive meteor. I'm pretty sure one of my kids will be able to figure some use for that - even if it did smash my poor car. OK, Nyarlo - I admit, that was pretty funny.

Hassan is holding Mark, so he won't put him down or help in any way. It's up to Blythe to put out the flames.

The bad news is that the car got trashed - and that is pretty bad news, but it's probably a fair trade.

That's right, kids - Thomas was born shortly after Mark started to toddle around. But something is really wrong with me - I hear Nyarlothep trying to take over my mind.

This is absolutely bogus - and I have to fight it. I have to withdraw - sort of like a zombie on the outside, so I can fight properly on the inside. It's going to take everything I have.

I don't think Hassan really understood. He took the meteor to the science facility, thinking they might be able to use it to ... help ... me ...

Born on the same day Blythe is scheduled to become an elder. Still didn't get twins.

Now, with Military lifted, normally I would use this opportunity to just have Blythe move out. But there is a complication - without an adult on the lot, Hassan won't be able to go to work. So Blythe has to hang around, and I have to deal with an uncontrollable elder under Free Will Off. This is going to be interesting.

Hassan grabbed the meteor and took a tour of the Science Lab. Alien Technology lifted!

The eyes. The eyes are everywhere. So many eyes, I never believed...

They're coming. And I cannot stop them. They're coming.

On the plus side, she can be Called To Meal to eat even rotten food, so she won't die. But I don't know how much use she'll be.

With the help of his ex-wife, who he has since befriended once more, Hassan got promoted to Orchestra Lead shortly before the end of Week 4. He has 20 days to go, and only 2 more promotions - obviously that's not going to be any problem at all.

Blythe was the only one with cooking, but fortunately I have some meals stashed away - Hassan will, of course, have to learn.

Mummy is funny! She just sort of stands around and drools a lot, unless Daddy tells her to eat. Sometimes she collapses. Sometimes she forgets to go to the potty. I drew a picture of her drooling for school, but Daddy said I mustn't tell anybody. I don't know why he wants me to write it down though. Adults are funny.

I liked the milk better than this food. It smells funny. Daddy says he's going to make better food, but I mustn't complain.

You know what? Daddy has to sleep sometimes. I am watching you Daddy.

Mark is an Easily Impressed, Evil, Mooch. Thomas is a Brave Couch Potato. Mark did manage to read all the toddler books, and hopefully so will Thomas.

At 43 days old, Blythe's age bar is maxxed out. That is actually kind of impossible. She had 26 days as an adult, and effectively 26 days as a young adult (not played, but still), and 30 days before she was an adult. That's a total of 82 days, before she even gets to elder. What appears to have happened is that she gets marked as being 40 days old (which is how long it takes a human to become an elder) and then has no extended lifespan (so the extra 3 elder days are it). This has ramifications - are we being too harsh with supernatural elders? Or is this still OK?

It looks like Mummy fell for my prank. Was it funny Mummy? I laughed.

But Daddy was very sad. He had to quit his job and stay home to look after me. I don't like when Daddy watches me too carefully. I think I might need to think of another prank.

Died shortly afterwards. This is of course quite problematic - the usual assumption is that your elder will live long enough to get a child up to teenager. That isn't going to happen here - Mark has another 8 days, while Hassan is two promotions away from the lift.

This situation has never actually occurred for me before. Upon her death a random Sim came into the house; I presume this is a babysitter. I believe the fair thing to do here is to pull Hassan home, quit his job, and proceed.

I'm not even going to call this unlucky. This is a consequence of the elder lifespan setting.
